Summer Must Haves
If you don't like the smell or feel of the typical sunscreen, you came to the right place. This sunscreen smells so good- very fresh & light. This won't leave you with oily sticky skin, but will still protect you from the sun's harsh rays!
I love using this on my face. It isn't oily or sticky & won't turn your face a chalky white like many other sunscreens will.
This is a lifesaver for sunburnt, dry, or just sun chapped skin in general. Since it is a gel it is light & won't clog your pores. Keep in the fridge to help calm a sunburn & even leave on overnight for some intense moisturizing.
Skin Care Routine
Step 1: wash your face
First thing's first, I wash my face. I do this morning & night. Personally, I have sensitive skin so I try to use cleansers that are gentle, scent free, and don't contain syllic acid. My favorite cleanser currently is the Acure Super Geens Cream Cleanser. I usually try to wash for at least a minute and make sure to especially go over the places I tend to have break outs in.
Step 2: face mask
My favorite morning masks are the African Black Soap mask (linked in my favorites above) by Shea Moisture & the Mario Badescu Super Collogen Mask. My favorite night mask is the Watermelon Overnight Mask from Trader Joes. I try to do a face mask 2-3 times a week. The Shea Moisture mask is really good for evening out my skin tone, keeping my acne in check, & plumping my skin. The Mario Badescu & Trader Joes masks really help give my skin some moisture when it is going through a dry spell- especially the overnight watermelon mask.
Step 3: toner
Next I saturate a cotton pad with toner and wipe it on my neck & face in upward strokes. Toner is especially important for acne prone skin, because it helps to remove extra dirt, oil, & balances the pH balance of your skin. I make sure to allow my toner to completely dry after applying it before I move on to the next step of my skin care routine. The Shea Moisture toner I have linked above is amazing for oily acne prone skin. It helps wipe away all the excess in the morning & keep my skin mattified throughout the day.
Step 4: serum
After my toner has dried I apply a serum. Serums are meant to target specific skincare concerns, so when going to buy one look for one that is going to aim to fix your concerns. When applying make sure to apply in upwards motions. Pulling the skin down is more likely to create wrinkles over time.
Step 5: moisturizer
Next I apply a moisturizer to lock in all the nutrients from the serum & hydrate my skin. I have acne prone skin so I tend to gravitate towards gel based moisturizers. Typically thicker moisturizers clog my pores & make me break out. However, I also have eczema so there are times when gel moisturizers do not give me enough hydration. When this is the case I will typically use a thicker moisturizer before I go to bed so it can really soak in overnight. If I am wanting a sun kissed look for the day, I will mix in the Dr. Hauschka bronzing tint to my moisturizer in this step.
Step 6: sunscreen
Lastly, I apply a light sunscreen. Our face is one of the most vulnerable areas on our bodies when it comes to being exposed to the sun. To prevent aging, wrinkles, & fine lines, applying sunscreen can really help.
Makeup Must Haves
Personally contouring is a struggle of mine & these make it so much easier on me. They are super easy to blend & are light on the skin. I like how the contour has a more orange toned side & a more cool toned side for you to choose from. My only complaint about these, is they are a little pricey for how little product you are getting.
This is the HOLY GRAIL of mascaras. If you are wanting some serious length, this is the mascara for you. Not to mention how affordable it is! For extra volume I recommend using a primer before applying the mascara.
Who says blinding high light has to be expensive? This $7 highlighter is so smooth & will give you the perfect glow.
Having combination skin makes finding a good foundation a little bit difficult. It seems like matte foundations stick to my dry skin & the dewy finishes make my face an oil slick. This foundation is the perfect happy medium. Its hydrating, doesn't stick to the dry parts of my face, & gives me a good glow without adding an extra oily look to my skin.
If you are into natural brows this is fantastic. The brush is thin & applies product to the brows evenly and moderately. If you want darker brows it is buildable.
This has been one of my favorite blushes for years. These are super pigmented, have a complimenting color mixed in with the blush to give an effortlessly bronzed look, & have just the right of highlight in them to give you a subtle luminosity.

I have very problematic, dry, sensitive skin & this face wash is so soothing. It hardly has a smell to it, is 100% vegan, & is free of parabens, sulfates, patrolatum, mineral oils, & formaldehyde.
This moisturizer is great for oily skin. It is very light & won't clog your pores, but still is very hydrating. I like using this in the morning because it gives my skin a dewy supple look.
This toner is magic for oily problem skin. Using this twice a day will keep oil & shine to a minimum & help keep acne away.
This serum works wonders on uneven skin tones. From my personal experience, it is hard to find serums that aren't oily & just gunk up my pores. This serum is light, fresh, & does not make my skin feel greasy. It's perfect for when my skin needs a brightening boost.
My favorite mask. I use this 2-3 times a week to keep my skin tone even, keep my acne to a minimum, & brighten my skin.
This bronzing liquid is AMAZING. To use, you mix it in with your moisturizer and rub into your skin. This will give you the prettiest subtle glowy bronze tint! This is perfect for days when you want to look effortlessly beautiful & glowy without having to put any makeup on your skin.
I apply this to my shoulders & face once a day to every other day depending what my skin can handle. Tea tree is kind of harsh on my sensitive skin, but it definitely helps my acne scars fade & keep my acne to a minimum.
Jelly consistency till mixed with water, makes this face cleanser fun to use. Aside from being fun to use, this keeps my pores clean like no other cleanser ever has. It is a little drying so I typically mix in a hydrating cleanser with it every other day.
I mix this with the Kiwi Botanicals Purifying Honey Melt to add some moisture & gentleness to my cleanser.
