As I mentioned in my post on The Butterfly Project's 3rd Birthday, we were each given RM150 to spend on Althea! Carol and I decided that we would each order products for each other, and the video of our unboxing can be found here.
So, let's take a look shall we?
[My Box from Carol]
First up, we have a scalp mask. These aren't as common in your everyday repertoire, so it's a definite must-have.
[Verbena Scalp Scaling Mask (RM 48)]
No, it doesn't come 3/4 full. I just couldn't stop myself from using it before I took pictures. I am impatient like that. It has a cooling effect and is meant to calm irritated scalps. It's still in the testing phase, so I shall report back when I form a more definitive opinion on it.
And then there's cleansing water! This is a line of skincare that I have an unhealthy obsession with. I don't know what it is about cleansing waters that make me need to collect all of them.
This has a very light and pleasant scent and it really does work. While I wouldn't recommend you using just this and heading straight to bed, it's a perfect first cleansing step before you use an actual cleanser.
In a similar vein, this brings us to a lip and eye makeup remover. For some reason, cleansing water never cleans off eye makeup as thoroughly, so a dedicated remover is necessary.
No, this doesn't come partially-filled either. I've used it and it's a fantastic product (as you can see in the video). It doesn't really have a scent to it, which I really appreciate for the eye area.
Next up, we have a pore cleansing tool. This was something I was completely subtle about, and I didn't even use subtlety in the hints that I wanted it.
[W-Lab Black Kill Pore Cleaner (RM 57)]
This was definitely a Samia-inspired purchase, and I couldn't wait to get my hands on it. It's meant to clean out your pores thoroughly, and she used it all over her face with really good results, which I'm stoked to try out for myself.
Between the weather and not having time to look after my hair, I'm in desperate need of products that will do the job for me. The next product promises to do just that.
[Kocostar Ggong Ji Hair Pack (RM 13)]
It's meant to condition and treat your damaged hair ends as a leave-in treatment. You just leave it on for between 30 minutes and 3 hours while you go about your business. Then you just comb through your hair. Simple enough! I hate standing in the shower and waiting for the conditioner to sink in, so I'm hoping this is a good alternative.
Seriously, I have hair problems on all fronts, so the next product is really welcome as well!
[Etude House Color My Brows (RM 21)]
One of the only products I like from Benefit is Gimme Brow, and I'm hoping this is a dupe for it. It's one of those brush-on brow products that combs through and deposits colour in one sweep. It's not as tiny as Gimme Brow, but I don't have an issue with a shortage of brows so it's a complete non-issue for me.
Similar to the Verbena mask, we have another. Carol ordered this for me because she got a similar product from the same brand and she really liked it.
[Piolang CP-1 Scalp Soothing Injection (RM 7.50/each)]
This works in a similar fashion as the Verbena mask, and you just deposit it on your scalp a while before washing your hair, then go ahead with your routine. I'll definitely do a comparison post on the two products to see which is more suited to your needs.
And after coveting all the other stuff she was talking about in the video, I snuck in a second order which was combined with another friend.
[The Covert Second Order]
[Mediheal Mask Dress Code Black (RM 7)]
A few months back, she sent me a picture of her in this mask and it was so pretty! I finally remembered that I wanted to try it out, and now I can! Seriously, gone are the days of looking like a freak with a sheet mask on.
This was the concealer she was discussing that reminded her of Nars' Radiant Creamy Concealer. It only comes in 2 shades, so I opted for the darker shade. I'll be doing a comparison post on this too.
I'm really excited to try all this stuff out, so let me know which reviews you want to see first!
And for good measure, here's the video of the two of us unboxing our goodies!
