To date, Revlon lipsticks are some of my favourites, so when they re-appeared with a new bath of Ultra HD lippies, I need them.

Luckily for me, Watsons was having a bit of a promotion where you get 3 for the price of 2, and so I paid RM60+ for 3 lippies. Not at all bad considering the state of the economy!

[Revlon's Ultra HD Lipsticks in Hydrangea (825), Azalea (800) and Poinsettia (840)]

I find it adorable that they're all named after flowers to represent Spring/Summer! And they're all bright pops of colour.

So, how did they fare in terms of wear?

[Hydrangea (852) - Coral Pink]

[Azalea (800) - Bubblegum Pink]

[Poinsettia (840) - True Red]

I found it a little strange that their wear varied by colour. The pinks (Hydrangea and Azalea) went on rather patchy on my dry lips, and I had to use a lip liner under them to get a smooth appearance. However, the red (Poinsettia) went on very smoothly and looked beautiful without a liner.

None of these were particularly drying, and although I absolutely love the longevity of them (they leave an ever so slight stain) with the liners, I won't be picking more of them up simply because of the patchiness I found with the pinks.

The colours are gorgeous, but I wish they had stuck with their traditional, classy packaging because these look a little cheap. I understand they're trying to be more on-point with the current trend, but Revlon's packaging has never failed to look timeless and they truly should have stuck with it.

All in all, I like these lipsticks, but I'm not blown away by them. I have similar shades in my collection which go on smoother so I wouldn't repurchase any of these, or purchase any more.

  1. The promo is still on-going at Watsons. I didn't get any. The shades are too red for my liking. I would prefer to see some mauve but nil.

    1. I agree with you! It seems like Revlon is trying to target a younger demographic with this collection.

    1. The Coral is my favourite too! I think it's rather universal and will be a gorgeous shade for anyone. Do let me know how you find them!
