I am well aware that I shouldn't be allowed to leave the house anymore. Don't worry.

In any event, this segment of the haul involves primarily out-of-town purchases. I was in Brisbane and Singapore in April, and I made sure to take advantage of it!

How could I not go to Lush? Not in Singapore, mind you. Australia! Lush in Singapore is ridiculously overpriced. They have to be kidding. Everything is almost double the price that it is in Australia.

[Tea Tree Water Toner Water]

The Tea Tree Toner may have been a mistake. I keep trying to use tea tree but I despise the smell. I might end up using it on my scalp to treat it when it's irritated. Worth a shot isn't it?

Then there were these little pots next to the till which I couldn't resist.

[Charity Pots Moisturisers]

They smell lovely and feel heavenly! One of these was a gift for one of my lovely girlies!

[Mint Julips & Bubblegum Lip Scrub]

No, I haven't mutated an additional 2 sets of lips. 2 of these were for friends. I adore Mint Julips! It's so much better than the absurdly pricey Sarah Happ lip scrub I bought. I hate it so much! This smells lovely too. Lush's lip scrubs are meant to be eaten after use, but I find that absolutely disgusting. Why would you want to consume your own dead skin? We're animals, but we're supposed to have evolved!

The Sales Assistants at Lush were incredibly nice and gave me a really generous sample of their Herbalism cleanser! It smells less than lovely but it was quite nice and I'm contemplating a purchase at some point 50 years from now when I've used up my stash of skincare.

[Herbalism Cleanser]

For the record, if you have Lush products, hang on to their containers because a return of 5 empties will get you something free!

Now, let's get a bit personal. I was in Australia to meet the pinata's parents, and I think he was so happy that I finally turned up there that he let me run amok in Priceline with his credit card. It's entirely possible that he won't be marrying me after seeing what I'm capable of, but he's already trapped, so it's fine.

First off, the non-applicable item: An organizer!

This is just so pretty! It's small enough to fit all my lip balms in it and I love it!

Yes, there is more dry shampoo! I came back with an absolutely obscene amount of the stuff!

The last time the pinata was in town, I asked him to bring me tin of Garnier's Fructis dry shampoo because I'd read amazing things about it. The reviews were well warranted. This has to be one of the best dry shampoos ever because it smells SO, SO GOOD! And the scent lingers all day, so your hair actually smells and looks freshly washed. A full review will be up soon!

[Garnier's Dry Shampoo]

And Batiste was on sale for 1-for-1! I've only tried Batiste's original formulation, but I've heard that their other varieties are better! So, you know I had to!

[Batiste's Medium & Brunette and Tropical]

I'm particularly excited about the Medium & Brunette variety because it has pigments in it to prevent a white cast from appearing on your hair as is the issue with the original.

And more dry shampoo...

[Klorane's Dry Shampoo]

2 varieties of the stuff. Neither of which is particularly spectacular. Spoiler alert: I would give these a miss. Review upcoming!

For the record, Klorane and Batiste are available in Watsons in Singapore!

Then, I got wipes! I've been coveting the brand "yes to" for ages, and I was so excited to see these on the shelves!

[yes to cucumbers wipes]

They're excellent! I LOVE THEM!

Another item I'd been coveting: Hydraluron! I had actually forgotten that this was on my list, but it was right next to the counter so I popped it into my bursting basket!

I've yet to try this out, but I'm excited! Hydration cures almost every problem your body has!

Back in November, I got my hands on the Olay Pro-X cleansing system, and I'm still using it. It's absolutely fabulous. So, when I saw a mini cleansing brush from Olay on the shelves, I couldn't resist! This would be perfect for the gym (yes, I have plans to start going!).

[Olay's Fresh Effects Cleansing System]

Next up was something I've been eyeing and trying to get hold of!

[Maybelline's Age Rewind Concealer & Illuminator]

[Maybelline's Age Rewind Illuminator]

[Maybelline's Age Rewind Dark Circle Eraser]

Worth the hype? Absolutely!

They even had Almay! I can only hope that Malaysian pharmacies will one day be this awesome!

[Almay's Oil-Free Gentle Eye Makeup Remover Pads]

These are textured pads which aids in eye make-up removal. I haven't tried them yet, but I shall report back when I do.

And there was La Roche-Posay! In BB Cream form!!!!

[La Roche-Posay's BB Cream in 02]

It was rather strange that the shade strip on the packaging for 02 looked lighter than 01, but 02 is definitely the right shade. A review is upcoming!

I'm pretty sure all of us perk up when the magic words, "Limited Edition" are uttered.

And when you put those words next to Antipodes, it's an unstoppable force! But then, the word "MINIs" was thrown in, and I was out for the count!

[Antipodes Minis]

I believe that this is the result of Antipodes just being introduced into Australia. In any event, even the full-sized stuff was much cheaper there than it is here, which makes me very excited! The pinata has been warned that he will be turned into a skincare mule henceforth.

First up, the day kit:

[Antipodes' Moisture Boost Minis]

[Vanilla Pod Hydrating Day Cream]

[Divine Face Oil]

Both of these have amazing reviews and were a gift for someone.

The second kit was for night use.

[Antipodes' Anti-Aging Minis]

[Avocado Pear Nourishing Night Cream]

This night cream is so incredibly thick and rich, but feels lovely. As rich as it is, it hasn't caused any issues for me, though I wouldn't buy the full size because of my skin type. If you have dry skin, this could very well be your saviour!

[Joyous Protein-Rich Night Replenish Serum]

I've yet to try this serum, but I have high hopes for it!

Then, there was the tale of more micellar water!

[Garnier's Micellar Cleansing Water]

Garnier recently released a micellar water, and it's apparently pretty good! As mentioned, a review of micellar waters is upcoming!

[essie's Apricot Cuticle Oil]

Need I say it? It smells amazing! Like apricots!!! I love it!

There was also the inevitable acquisition of Maybelline Color Tattoos. It saddens me greatly that there are limited shades available here because ever since their "Metal" variety popped up, I've been eyeing them!

[Maybelline's Color Tattoo Metals in Electric Blue & Inked in Pink]

Do you see how pretty they are?! DO YOU SEE?! Why can't we have them here?!

Then, there was the L'Oreal Infallible Shadow purchase!

[L'Oreal Infallible Shadow in Forever Pink]

[Oooo shiny!]

[Top: Infallible Shadow; Bottom: Infallible Shadow over Color Tattoo]

This is just a little demo of how awesome Color Tattoos are! They make the world a better place! Review of them upcoming!

Revlon was also having a 1-for-1 sale, so I couldn't resist their Balm Stains!

[Revlon's Balm Stains]

I came late to the Revlon balm stain party, but I've been getting caught up!

[Revlon's Colorburst Lacquer Balm in Coquette]

[Revlon's Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Lovesick]

Yes, the swatch is a bit dodgy because I dropped the stick and it got ruined. Clumsiness 1 - 0 Perfect Makeup Swatch.

I've gotten my hands on enough of the Revlon balms to do a review, so there will be one up soon!

I'm really peeved about the fact that Rimmel is no longer sold here. I don't understand why! So, I picked up all the stuff that's been on my list!

[Rimmel's Moisture Renew Lipstick in Amethyst Shimmer (260)]

And they had new Apocalips shades!!!!

[Rimmel's Apocalips]

I forgot to swatch this, but they are amazing! I have a few of them in my possession and I've yet to be disappointed!

And eyeliners!!!!! I love!!!

They had Rimmel's new eyeliner release!!!

[Rimmel's Scandaleyes Thick & Thin Liner]

[Rimmel's Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal in Black & Nude]

[Top 3: Thick & Thin Liner; Bottom 2: Kohl Kajals]

These are so much better than I could have imagined! You need them in your life! If you've been contemplating them but waiting, wait no longer!

That is the end of the Priceline mad dash!

Now, on to Singapore!

First up, I met up with a close friend of mine while I was there after years! We used to sit next to each other in secondary school, and she decided to surprise me with a box of gifts!

[The Irene Factor]

[ColorOn Instant Eye Shadow Applicator]

These came out a few years ago, and I heard they were pretty good for beginners. I never did try them out, so I'm really curious to do so! They are press on sheets which have colour already on them so that you have a done look in seconds! It even comes with a brush to blend out the shadows!

There was also a set of Make Up Forever lashes in the box!

[MUFE's Gold Lashes]

These are so pretty and I'm saving them for a special occasion!

[Make Up Store Heated Eyelash Curler]

I've always wanted one of these! I'm so curious as to whether there is an effect! Logically, if heat-styling your hair works, this should too! Exciting times of discovery!

[Eyelash Glue]

[Nail Glue]

[Stila's Lip Glaze in Splendor]

This is gorgeous on the lips because it's a bright neutral, but it doesn't swatch well, so I've skipped that part. Stila's lip glazes are lovely!

Then there was the product that got sold out before I could decide if I wanted it!

[RiRi Loves MAC in Who's That Chick]

[Inscribed with Rihanna's Signature]

Beyond the gorgeous packaging and the inscription, I would have been really sad if I had known how awesome this shade was and didn't own it!

Thank you, Irene! I love you long time!

It also makes me really sad that Watsons in Singapore is so much better than it is here! They were having a 3-for-2 on L'Oreal, so I had to get my hands on some!

[L'Oreal Color Riche in Flaming Kiss]

These are meant to be extremely hydrating and I can attest to the fact that this shade is, at least! Love!

Recently, my hair has been dropping a little, so I thought I would try out L'Oreal's Sulphate-Free Everstrong leave-in treatment. This was an attempt to avoid buying Aveda's RM200+ version of it.

[L'Oreal's Everstrong Thickening Tonic]

The sales assistant tried to make me buy two. I'm so glad I didn't listen. I hate this so much! I want to spray it on her and set her on fire so telling me it's amazing and she uses it too! I should have known better because her hair wasn't that nice! A review of how awful this product is will be up soon.

[L'Oreal's Everstrong Shampoo]

I haven't tried this yet but I do hope it is better than the ridiculous tonic! It has good reviews though, so one can hope.

And can you imagine that they have Bourjois in Watsons?! What madness is this?! WHAT IS THIS?! Where is my Bourjois here?!

[Bourjois' Healthy Balance Unifying Powder in Dark Beige]

This is such a good powder! I want the loose version now! For those of you who aren't aware, Bourjois owns Chanel and their stuff is essentially the same. Love!!!

Then, there was the walk-into Guardian...on multiple occasions!

I was running out of aloe vera gel, so I figured I'd give Vaseline's variety a try.

[Vaseline's Aloe Fresh]

And there was a trip to The Body Shop to get my face roller!

[The Body Shop's Face Roller]

I love this! LOVE!

Back to Guardian! Some Nivea was in order!

[Nivea's Mud Scrub]

I used this a couple of times, and I really do like it! I'll have to test it up a little bit more before I have a verdict on it!

And more Nivea!

[Nivea's Rescue & Care Hand Cream]

These were on sale, so I couldn't resist. I love Nivea! Can you blame me?!

And there was a little pop into Sephora where I picked up 2 little items!

[Sephora's Cotton Pads]

I love Sephora's cotton! LOVE! If you need to travel, get these! They are amazing! They were slightly cheaper in Singapore, so why not huh?

[Sephora's Softening Facial Mist]

This is so good! If you're looking for a new, affordable face mist, this is what you need to get hold of!

And the final trip to Guardian yielded a toner!

[Guardian's Witch Hazel & Rose Water Toner]

I don't understand why it's so hard to find products with witch hazel and rose water in it here in KL, so I'm pretty excited to try this!

And that is the end of the haul!

If you'd like reviews on any of the stuff first, do let me know!

Part I of The Haul Call can be found here!

  1. Arpita, I'm now officially crazy after seeing everything you bought. LUCKY YOU! hahahaha XD

    1. I'm out of the hauling scene for a while after this!

  2. OMG, OMG, OMG, You're the godess of 'mega-hauls' Arpita. I actually typed a really long comment but my Iphone has failed me yet again and I wonder if the comment got posted at all. If you get it, then you'll know I am truly inspired. <3 <3 <3 your foray at Priceline, am itching to have a go with someone else's credit card too!!!

    1. I think I may need help. It's a disease I tell you, a disease! I'm pretty sure the credit card free-for-all will end upon marriage, so I'm doing my bit to provide fair warning for the future while I can hehehe

  3. loved it :) love all your haul posts hauling is so therapeutic=) Have u tried sephora's laura mercier lipsticks and babylips balms though? I notice you havent spoken about them but oh my god they are so underrated, unknown and ahhhh mazing

    1. It really is retail therapy! I completely justify it by replacing any need for therapy with this. It's works far better! I've never tried Laura Mercier lippies though I've only heard amazing things. I fear the birth of a new obsession! As for Baby Lips, I only like the Dr. Rescue variety. I've got a lip balm review on a ton of different ones coming up soon! There are some definite favourites which I haven't heard enough about!

  4. oh my god , yes lauramercier lipsticks are so addictive they have a matte and a shing version as well and their lipbalm is sooooo good (: you should try one their colours are so pretty and pigmented , nudes are amazing so are pinks and reds . it is pretty expensive thougj and maybe as not as many colors as MAC but omg omg omg its just amazing really!

    1. You must know this is going to make me go get some! Next week! Thank you for the recommendation. With all your gushing, I can't help get excited about them already! Count me in!

  5. Yea you should totally try it! you sound big on skincare. have u tried fresh's rose masque from sephora, its so luxe with the rose petals in it , make you feel like you're having a spa at home. Its super expensive but oh well it makes anyone happy hehe , mild hydration, plumpness and best of all, I havent heard of anyone who broke into acne after it . :) max care pards from peter thomas roth with peach infusion are lovely tooo x) but if you already have many products, which i think you do , you probably dont need those

    1. Skincare is truly my favourite thing in the world! I liked fresh's masque, but nothing beats Antipodes' Manuka Honey Mask. It's the best thing in the universe. I kid you not! Peter Thomas Roth is really good though, so I've yet to try that specific variant and I might just have to once I use up some of my hoard. I love these recommendations! So exciting to discover new stuff :D
