I have declared my love for exfoliators on multiple occasions, and I do believe I've found my holy grail. This simply isn't it.

[Lancome's Exfoliance Clarte]

Since it's formulated for normal to combination skin, it does work quite well in terms to cleansing the skin of excess sebum and cleaning out the pores.

However, the first thing you will notice when you pop open the lid is the smell. It truly does smell like roses. Heavenly! As with all Lancome products, there is nothing at all disappointing here.

There are a multitude of different sized and textured exfoliants in here, which means that it truly does leave you with an extremely deep clean. However, it isn't an unabrasive texture, so if you have extremely sensitive skin, you should probably avoid it.

It doesn't really foam up either, so it exfoliates without actually stripping the skin and leaving it feeling tight and uncomfortable. Without a doubt, it does a really good job.

I do like this, but I probably wouldn't purchase it again because I've found a product that seems to work even better, in a less abrasive manner. Stay tuned to find out what it is.

However, I don't like dislike this product at all. In fact, it works rather well and I quite enjoyed using it while I did. If you're considering getting it, do!

  1. I love the idea of exfoliants but I am moving farther and farther away from harsh beaded scrubs these days as my skin is just not tolerating the tough texture. This looks gentle but being Lancome it probably doesn't cheap so I agree, I do find that it's possible to dupe a lot of the products from higher end department store brands.

    1. I agree with you on this. I'm slowly and painfully learning the value of being gentle and loving to my skin. My post on the best exfoliator in the world...ever...will be up during the week, and when I do put it up, you have no excuse but to try it! I've been going the route of chemical exfoliants and gentler products, and my skin is far more pleased with me for it. Happiness!
