Yes! Sephora! I think this has to be the best Sephora trip I've ever made as well.

So they opened their new store in Sunway Pyramid yesterday, and I happened to be there, so I couldn't not go, could I? Not only was the atmosphere sublime, they had a bunch of events and giveaways on as well. My camera was out of battery because I have issues with planning ahead, so I missed out on pictures of the launch event.

The entire store was much like a carnival with performances, a magician and even a claw game machine! How awesome! They also had offers ongoing whereby any RM100 spend would receive a free bag as well as a shot at the claw machine. Of course, the first 100 customers in-store would receive a Sephora vanity case as well which is quite lovely from what I hear, and see when I stalk these things online.

Of course, you know I can't leave Sephora without my wallet weeping, but I did exercise a very drastic amount of control this time round!

[The Big Sephora Bag]

[The Big Free Sephora Bag, The Little Sephora Bag and Purchases]

Yes, a big black mesh bag! Love!

Now for the exciting bits!

[Percy & Reed Dry Conditioner (RM65)]

If you read this blog, you know I love dry shampoo rather obsessively, but I've never tried a dry conditioner and from what I've seen only Percy & Reed has it. It's meant to make your hair softer and shinier. Of course I needed it!

The next thing is something I've been coveting ever since I saw the rave reviews online. Urban Decay's new line of Revolution Lipsticks is supposed to be absolutely miraculous in all the right categories: Pigmentation, Non-Drying, Staying Power. So, when I swatched the entire lot a few weeks ago in-store, I died a little because not buying them left a hole in my soul. In order to appease this misery, I contained myself to 1 of them. The most attractive of the lot (to me at least), and one that I didn't have a similar shade in.

[Urban Decay's Revolution Lipstick in Venom (RM75)]

Yes, the colour on the tab is spot on!

Also, just look at the packaging! LOOK! How gorgeous is this lipstick in every single way?!

This wasn't the end of stuff I came home with, because I won a bunch of stuff too! I do love giveaways!

[The Small Sephora Bag]

There are 2 wins in this. First, I participated in one of their Q&As and got a rather fantastic gift bag, and second, I got a prize from the claw machine!

[All the Loot!]

[Q&A Win]

Most of the stuff given away was from their in-house label and I cannot complain at all because I have mentioned on multiple occasions how much I love their stuff!

[Sephora's Body Lotion in Chic Guimauve]

This is rather gorgeously scented and I don't even need to discuss how amazing the packaging is! How very chic indeed!

[Sephora's Hand Wash in Cranberry & Lychee]

Really...between the colour and bottle, I was already in love. But add in the luscious scent and I'm smitten! I'm usually not a fan of food-scented items, but this combination works spectacularly!

[Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm]

This is one of their less fashionable but oh-so-effective lip balms. If you have dry, chapped lips, this will definitely do quite a good job of sorting them out for you. It does have a strong minty scent and tingle to it but it works wonders. I have 2 of these in my possession already!

And then there were the prizes from the claw machine! I adore the lovely guy who was manning the machine who kindly stacked everything in such a manner that even those of us (me) who are coordination-challenged could win something!

[Clawed Goodies!]

All of these are Sephora label items and I cannot tell you how stoked I was because I have been eyeing 2 of these on the Sephora US sight for a while now!

[Sephora's Prisma Chrome Eyeshadow in Outrageous Metallic Taupe]

Outrageous indeed! The colour is gorgeous! More importantly though, I wore it today and it's so buttery and pigmented that it blends like a dream without any fallout! They also have a rose gold shade that I really want!

[Sephora's Lipstick in No. 20]

Can you imagine that this swatch was just one swipe? It's so incredibly smooth and pigmented. OMG. I've never paid attention to Sephora's lipsticks, but they've definitely got it now! I don't own a blue-toned red lipstick, and now I know that I needed one!

And of course, the best for last! This is something that's been sold out on the US site everytime I've wanted to buy it, and for good reason!

[What is it? Mascara? Eyeliner? Lip brush?]

NONE OF THE ABOVE! What it is, is awesomeness in a set!

[Sephora's 3-Piece Brush Kit]

First of all, I can't even show you the most awesome part about this on my blog because the entire thing is magnetic! Which means 2 things: It won't disassemble in your purse and get makeup everywhere, and it is fun to play with!

Beyond how nice it looks and how awesome the concept is, the brushes are of extremely fantastic quality (as Sephora brushes tend to be). I don't understand why no one discusses their brushes more. It's really quite sad!

On the bright side, Sephora in Sunway Pyramid is having a 10% discount on all their in-house products till the end of month, so you really should go check it out if you're interested!

And since you've stuck around through the rambling, it's time for a reward!

2 things here are to be given away:
Sephora Body Lotion
Burt's Bees Lip Balm

The two people with the best rationale for wanting one or the other will get them!

Giveaway ends on Friday (25/09) at 11:59pm

  1. so awesome!! we should make a trip there while the 10% lasts!! hehe

    1. You were just complaining about our shopping on messenger!!!

  2. Looks like it was worth the trip..the UD in Venom was gorgeous and looking at the pigmentation on the Sephora lippie..i'd say that too is definitely a keeper... Sephora rocks big time and i cant wait for them to open more outlets but SP and Paradigm are not too far and i could get lost in them forever.

P/S: Because I'm a sucker for lotions and all things Sephora ... :)

    1. Definitely worth the trip and I have no regrets over spending RM75 on a lipstick because it's amazing! I wore it yesterday and I am more in love now than when I was coveting it from afar!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for an outlet in 1Utama. H&M is already renovating their new store there so I do hope Sephora will follow suit!

I do think half my waking time is spent in Sephora or on their multiple sites and Facebook pages. It's terrible.

  3. I'm still too traumatised by broken Sephora lippie to shop at Sephora in person just yet. I am one of those horrible ' touch n go' types who go and play at Sephora and buy online or at SaSa. I hope they don't hate me but I do plan on going in an buying something but it must be something about the feng shui at their BB Store - I can't drop any cash when all I can think of is being on the inside of a giant armadillo or something. It's the weird shape of the building that twists me up - weird, I know. SaSa are, however, very good at taking my hard earned money.

    1. Hahaha that's as good a reason as I've heard for not shopping at Sephora! I feel like that is by fair their best store in terms of selection sadly. However, they are beyond disappointing on this side of the world. I still can't get over it. I've been on a Sephora US spree and their options are so much better than we will ever have here. Not to mention their freebies! So frustrating!

Ahhh SaSa! I've recently been camping out there. It's so terrible. Why do they have such amazing stuff?! And since I'm a recent Nuxe convert, I keep staring at their shelf and wanting everything!

  4. Oh, and if no one else is going for it...why not...?!

The Burt's Bees Beeswax Balm for me because I am besotted with blissful balms made by busy bees.
Haha This is me trying (rather unsuccessfully) to channel Dr Seuss.

    1. I'm so glad you entered! Looks like you and Sharon will get what you want. While I know I'm way behind on postage, I'll just send them out together! Tomorrow or Monday!

You should hear my conversations with the Enabler! It sounds so similar to your Dr. Seuss-ing hehehe. Lovely!
