[Origins' Checks & Balances Frothy Face Wash]

I don't really know how to beat around the bush about this, so I'm just going to come out and say it: This is a TERRIBLE product.

I've been using it for around 3 weeks in the evenings and I've been wondering why my skin was suddenly sprouting random pimples...lo and behold: Origins' Checks & Balances!

I do think the name of this product refers to its intelligent design in the ability to detect a lack of pimples, and then balancing an even number of them across your face. So, so terrible.

How do I know it's this product? 2 days ago I switched this out for something else, and the pimples have promptly disappeared! What madness is this?!

In any event, this is a foaming cleanser, so definitely not something you want to over-use...or use at all for that matter. I understand that foaming cleansers do a deeper, more extracting sort of cleanse, so it would explain a few breakouts here and there, but not the degeneration of the condition of your skin in general.

I'm so disappointed in this!

P.S. The giveaway is still ongoing! More information can be found here.

  1. I am not sure I am a fan of Origins products either. The Andrew Weil collaboration smells awful and didn't show me anything worth putting up with the smell for and I for one can tolerate a fair stench and a reasonable amount of suffering in the pursuit of good skin but no worthy results to mention.
Hahaha...balancing pimples...that's so funny. Checks and Balances indeed!

    1. I am generally a fan of theirs, but they tend to be rather hit and miss. I wouldn't advise ever using anything of theirs without sampling it first.
Their Andrew Weil stuff never really appealed to me so I shall definitely steer clear of it based on your experience. Such a shame since it looks so pretty haha.
Their masks are good and they do one of my favourite facial exfoliators ever (review upcoming). But some of the stuff I've been trying lately is killing me a little. Very sad times :(
