[Retail Therapy]

Today, I really needed some endorphins swimming around in my head, and shopping is far cheaper and healthier than the amount of Prozac and therapy that will be needed to deal with me. So, shopping it is! Yes, I feel so much better. It's like the cloud of doom has been defeated by the rainbow of colours contained within these packages. I am a lucky girl to have this luxury.

On a completely irrelevant and somewhat depressing note, I've been watching documentaries over the last few nights on women in India, and it is beyond shocking how they are treated. It just makes me count my blessings to have the luxury of having an opinion which people listen to. I am thankful, and you should be too.  I strongly feel that life is about being happy, and I am grateful for the luxury of achieving there through the means of my choice.

End of the emo bits...on to happiness!

Where to start...where to start...

Let's begin with me thinking I would only leave 1Utama with the one item I couldn't wait to get my hands on:

[Chanel's Precision Eyelash Curler (RM76)]

This is their limited edition eyelash curler, and I can't describe how in love with it I am. We're in a relationship, as you can from the way our fingers are entwined. I'm currently using the Shu Uemura curler, and I think I'm the only person in the world who it has oxidised on, and it's just plain old. I think I bought it around 4-5 years ago. I deserve an eyelash curler after all this time, don't you think?! And this is supposed to be infinitely better. It certainly feels like it. I'll do a curling comparison on the two soon to justify the purchase. When I bought the Shu curler, it was around RM60, I think. The price difference isn't that large, and for something which is this much better, if you are already paying those prices, it's worth it to invest a little more. The lady at the counter told me that she doesn't need to change the pad in the curler for over a year, which is fantastic! It came with two additional pads anyway, so I'm all set!

[Chanel's Le Jour, La Nuit & Le Weekend Samples]

I got another set of these because I want the Enabler to try them. There is a review on them coming up which I'm quite excited about.

Now, on to the next store...SaSa!

For the first 20 minutes, I was only walking around SaSa with the Colour Tattoo pot, but then I saw The Balm's display and she told me there was a 15% discount on everything, all my resolve melted away.

[Maybelline's Colour Tattoo in 35- Tough as Taupe (RM19.90-10%=RM17.91)]

I have heard and read so many good things about these that I just had to get my hands on them. They're supposed to be on par, if not better than MAC's Paint Pots, and while I do prefer Estee Lauder's Shadow Creme to Paint Pots, I'm really curious to see how these compare, and just for variety, I picked a colour I didn't already have. Very pretty! And at this price, if it's even remotely comparable, I'll be more than happy to switch allegiances. This is going to be a bit tricky to test out at the same time, but I shall endeavour! A review is forthcoming!

[My Beauty Diary's Dark Circles Intensive Care Eye Mask (RM29.90]

These are rather self-explanatory, and there are 5 pairs in this container, so it's worth a shot I would think. Let's hope it helps! Yes, apparently sleeping early isn't even an option.

Finally, the stuff from The Balm:

[The Balm's Put A Lid On It (RM70)]

Well, I thought she said all the stuff from The Balm was on sale, but I'm looking at the receipt now and it doesn't seem to be the case. In any event, this has been lauded as being better than Urban Decay's Primer Potion...and look at the packaging! So adorable. I don't have an eyelid primer, I don't count Paint Pots and whatnot as such because they aren't crease proof, and I've been reading up and they could actually be quite useful in preventing concealer from settling into the fine lines under your eyes. That's something I really want to try out!

[The Balm's Nude'Tude (RM115-15%=RM97.75)]

Look how cute the palette is! I'm going to show you close ups of the shadows and the manner in which they're displayed, because it's just too adorable, but I'm not going to go too in depth about them because I really want to play with them and pair them against the Naked Palettes (which the Enabler has graciously agreed to hand over to me) in a review.

So pretty!!! I've actually swatched all of them on multiple occasions in store, and the 15% off offer was just the straw that broke the camel's back. I couldn't resist it any longer.

When I went to pay, she told me to pick a colour from a bunch of 4 nail polishes, and I picked one I don't think I own:

[Docile's D216]

I like it. There should be more price tags of this sort!

I know this is a bit much, but apparently I thought it would be a good idea to walk into MAC to "take a look".

I should stop listening to myself. Their new collection which was illustrated by Rebecca Moses is out and so, so pretty!

[MAC's Nude Lip Bag Illustrated by Rebecca Moses (RM168)]

[Even the inside is pretty!]

[Nude Lip Set (RM168)]

The pouch itself is absolutely gorgeous and it's not exactly a typical cloth material. It's more of the cloth-covered-in-wax sort. I can't remember what it's called, but it won't get dirty as easily which is perfect for makeup. It's too, too adorable! They had another lip set which had brighter pinks, but I like everything in here a lot more. The other set came with a very light pink gloss, and that's just not my thing.

[MAC's Lip Pencil in Boldly Bare]

This really is quite a perfect nude pencil for me and I'm really happy with it.

[MAC's Lipglass in Drawn to Chic]

This gloss! Look at the colour! It really is the perfect complement to the lip pencil and I think I'm going to wear the two together tomorrow. So, so pretty! I definitely don't have a gloss in this shade.

[MAC's Cremesheen in Naked Proof]

The minute I swatched it, it reminded me of the Estee Lauder shade I mentioned not too long ago on my blog as my favourite coral nude.

[Estee Lauder's N24 - Perfect Nude; MAC's Cremesheen in Naked Proof]

I swear I have never looked at the name on the Estee Lauder lipstick, but I totally agree with their analysis!

[Estee Lauder's Perfect Nude; MAC's Naked Proof]

The Estee shade is just that little bit darker, while the MAC shade has a hint more pink. I definitely do need both of these.

[Bare Lips]

[MAC's Naked Proof]

I like it! It too would go perfectly with the gloss. I'm positive the three were made to go together in the most gorgeous way, and they do.

Do I have regrets? Absolutely not. Did I run upstairs with all my packages to prevent prying? Absolutely.

We all have skeletons in our closets. Mine just happens to be well made up.

    1. Haha sometimes I wish I did...but I suspect it wouldn't count as working because all my pay would go back to the store. This is meant to be Shopaholics Anonymous, no?
