[CosmoBox - August 2013]

As always, CosmoBox always leaves one enamoured with the packaging because it is so very Sex and the City in nature. Even though I hate the show, it gives me the feeling most girls get when they watch it.

Many people were disappointed in July's CosmoBox for myriad reasons, and all I can say is that they have completely made up for it this month.

So, what's in the gorgeous white box?

[Product Description Sheet]

Now, it must be said that "tea" is one of my trigger words and while I tend to avoid reading the product description sheets in these boxes to avoid spoiling the surprise, while I was untying the pretty bow, the word caught my eye and I got very frenzied about getting to the contents!

[Getting there...]

[ZOMG!]

Really! My eyes had no idea where to settle, and my fingers couldn't decide what to pick up first. Whatever is left of my brain was overworked with excitement and decision-making!

[Contents of the August Box]

[Beautymate's Purifying and Hydrating Nano Toner]

This is another one of those L'Oreal Liss Ultime Hair Mask situations. I have 3 of these. I've used it and it's a good product, but it's definitely not necessary to have 3 of them. If anyone would like one, please let me know.

[Bio-essence's Nourishing Foamy Cleanser with Royal Jelly & ATP]

I've been reading some good reviews about Bio-essence, but I've never actually tried their stuff out. I quite like foam cleansers for night use. As they are a little drying, the use of a thicker moisturiser at night counters it. However, this contains Royal Jelly, so it won't be as drying. Can't wait to try this out!

[Cosmobox's Facial Sponge]

So pretty!!!! This is one of those things you always need but never think of stocking up on. Definitely appreciated!

[Covo's Compact Curler]

OMG! Really! For the last few weeks I've been looking at these in various locations and on various websites and wondering if I need one. Apparently I do because my heart soared at the sight of it!

It is just so cool! It has a latch which closes in to avoid breakage. You can lower it and then press it down while your lashes are in the designated spot to curl them. PERFECT FOR TRAVELLING WITH!

[Covo's Compact Curler]

[Cosmobox's Wooden Angled Eye Brush]

I have an entire hoard of brushes, and I always seem to want more. This is fantastic! The bristles are quite firmly packed together, but it has some yield to it. Seems like a really good brush and it's definitely going to be put to good use!

[BeGood's Sample Pack]

The packaging on this is so adorable, albeit a little hippie-ish.

[BeGood's Afternoon Tea Lip Scrub & Afternoon Tea Lip Balm]

Absolutely brilliant packaging! When I opened up the box, I could smell this and it was heavenly.

[BeGood's Afternoon Lip Scrub]

This really does smell truly divine. All sugary and yummy. Right after I took these pictures, I went to test it out and it's lovely. I know from firsthand experience that they do use real sugar. This truly is the power of dreaming of products right her. For the last month or so I've been lamenting the fact that I don't own a lip scrub and that there is no Lush in Malaysia. Just today, while pretending to concentrate in class all evening, I was contemplating making my own after trying desperately to use just lip balm to combat my dry lips! I really do love this product! It left my lips feeling clean, but not dry. I love! Once this little tub is through with, it's very likely that I'm going to purchase a full size.

[BeGood's Afternoon Tea Lip Balm]

As instructed, I put this on after the scrub and so far it feels quite nice. The verdict will be out tomorrow morning. However, the scent of this is also very fresh and quite divine. It's not greasy and leaves a nice, light shine on the lips. So much happiness in 2 little pots!

This is such an awesome box that I'm sad for anyone who isn't subscribed to them! Please continue in this vein CosmoBox! More products from BeGood please! And Covo!

Even though there was some disappoint from many regarding July's box, given the circumstances they did a really decent job with it. CosmoBox hasn't really disappointed me per se and I do think this is one of the boxes I'll be sticking with. My subscription ends with this box, and I'm definitely going for another 3 months!

CosmoBox comes in Quarterly, Bi-Annual and Annual Subscriptions and retails at RM33 per box...an absolute steal!

  1. Because of the delayed July edition I had forgotten all about getting a CosmoBox until I read your post and do you know what I did - I went and got the subscription right from my phone! Three seconds flat. No lie.
The contents are right up my alley and yes, I'll forgive them for everything else.
You truly are the greatest - fastest beauty boxer in all the East. All hail, Arpita.
My budget, however, doesn't thank you.

  2. Hi... Wouldyou recommend buying L'Oreal Liss Ultime Hair range though? Do salons give out its samples? Thanks!

    1. Hello! It is a really good range actually, but I don't think salons give out samples of the stuff. If you would like samples of the stuff, I'd be happy to send them to you from my stash from multiple beauty boxes. Just e-mail me your address!

  3. Hi Arpita,

Thanks for replying.. Will send you an email about this. By the way, do you know which beauty boxes are giving this range? Is it a regular in your choice of beauty boxes? I'm kind of a newbie here :)

    Thank you.

    1. Hello!

It has been a regular in a number of beauty boxes over the past three months, but this seems to have stopped. However, if you are keen on beauty boxes, I strongly suggest looking into Bag of Love and The Lilac Box. The others tend to be quite moody. Cosmobox (Box Culture) is quite good too, but they have suspended their boxes until Nov for their birthday box. VanityTrove has these on offer sometimes though...with them, you can pick which samples you would like to receive. Do e-mail me though and I'll send over a shampoo and mask! Hope this was helpful!
