[Pile of Beauty Boxes]
Now that I am subscribed to an absurd number of beauty boxes, it was inevitable that I would be met with such a lovely sight upon my return. I cannot express the excitement of knowing that inside these subtle packages lies a world of awesomeness!
There are 3, but I'm kicking things off with the CosmoBox by Box Culture because this was the first beauty box I discovered and subscribed to. And it's about time! I regret quite thoroughly that I had signed up with an event they teamed up with Benefit for and was then unable to attend due to unforeseen circumstances. But, I now have my box and life is about to get much nicer.
[CosmoBox - June 2013]
The first thing you would inevitably notice about this box is the packaging. It is absolutely gorgeous. From the colour scheme of black and light pink, to the pull out sleeve and the well structured white box with their logo embossed on it in an almost unnoticeable manner. I was smitten the moment I saw it.
Then you open it up and the beautiful colour scheme continues with a pretty bow.

[And a pop of colour...]
[And finally...the products!]
[L'Oreal Professional's Liss Ultime Masque]
The timing of this could not be more perfect. I've been a bit traumatised by the texture of my hair due to the English weather and I've been looking into getting a hair mask but have no idea where to start. It's not an area I've forayed into. I did try a Keratin hair mask by L'Oreal which came in a sachet in UK's Glamour, and it did do a great job of restoring hydration, so I'm quite excited about this product!
[Murad's Resurgence Hydrating Toner]
This is a travel sized toner in a spray bottle and I'm ecstatic about this (and the following product). I've read numerous reviews and heard first hand accounts of how amazing Murad is, but due to my compulsive purchasing of products, I never had a slot in which to spend the relatively high price they charge on their products just to try them. Now I can get a first hand account for myself.
[Murad's Essential-C Day Moisturiser with SPF 30]
I'm a lazy person who doesn't use sunblock, as I've previously mentioned, so a moisturiser with built-in sunscreen may be just the thing for me. I have tried Neutrogena's in the past and hated it quite a bit so I'm curious as to how this will compare. I'll do a review on it in the near future.
[b.live by Cellnique's Off With Those Heads]
This is brilliant! I got a tester of this two years back with a magazine and the results after even one use were amazing. It really does work in ensuring that blackheads are loosened so they can be easily removed through your daily cleanse-tone-moisturise routine. Even though the packaging and product descriptions state that it's to aid easy extraction, the process becomes reduced because only the toughest blackheads will be left. If you have a major issue with blackheads, this is definitely something to try out. The best part is that a sample of this size will last for between 2-3 weeks depending on how religious you are with use. Due to the fact that it helps eradicate blackheads, using this also tends to aid in stopping excessive oiliness. I think the fact that I remember so much about this product more than 2 years after my last use speaks volumes for its effectiveness.
[Collistar's Biorevitalizing Anticellulite Concentrate "Mesotherapy" Effect]
Mesotherapy is one of those new therapies that gets under your skin to break down the deposits which create cellulite. Everyone needs cellulite cream. I have grown affectionate of my cellulite-laden bits, but I wouldn't complain if they decided not to reside with me any longer. This is definitely worth a shot. Seriously...everyone has cellulite. I've seen the skinniest women ever who insist on wearing the shortest shorts ever because they don't check how they look from the back before leaving the house. Cellulite!
[CosmoBox by Box Culture's Natural Looking False Eyelashes]
I'm not entirely sure these would look natural, especially on me. It makes me happy that I have reasonably decent eyelashes and these would bulk up the volume quite a bit and make them quite pretty I would think. I don't use falsies (yet), so I'm not sure about these. I can't judge.
[Maybelline's Volum' Express Hypercurl Cat Eyes Mascara]
This just made me laugh because I bought so much mascara in London that this is simply the icing on the cake. I did not buy a waterproof mascara so this is a good addition! This wand is so different from most mascaras because it doesn't have a brush but rather a comb. I remember seeing it when it initially came out on the market years ago, but I restrained myself back then from buying it so this is very exciting for me! The bristles on the comb are quite close together so this will probably aid in avoiding clumping. It claims to volumise and curl your lashes, and hold them in that state for up to 18 hours. I can't wait to try it out. Anything that aids my laziness (skipping the curling in this case) gets my vote!
Overall I'm extremely happy with this box. There's nothing in here, apart from the lashes, that I wouldn't use, but lashes don't expire so if I decide to use them in the future they're good to have around. Would I subscribe to it again? Without a doubt! Luckily, I've got two more months of boxes in my subscription to them left. Love!
This box costs RM33 and is beyond worth it! Subscriptions for Monthly, Quarterly or Half-Yearly boxes are available on their site.
